hmm strange. not sure what it could be. Hope it gets fixed soon.

check alternator bolt, I have heard some loud squealing from cars when turning wheel especially in car parks etc and when the alternator bolt is tightened it goes away. try this and let me know how you get on. If not this it might be something to do with the starter motor.

I have a 1999 hatchback corolla and I am wondering if it is ok for the piping which brings air into the air box (pipe goes under electrical boxes, around the battery on right and air gets pulled in from near the light) can be removed with no consequences. I took the pipe out and about halfway it...
