Little young here. I have a 2007 with 178 on the clock and I keep wondering if I'm ever going to have to do major maintenance to this car? Ive changed 1 water pump, couple sets of tires, and just regular PM. Reciently I got a "Check Engine" light, but that was a exhaust gasket. Never owned a car...

Glad to hear. My first notion would have been the thermostst as well.

With as many Corollas that are out there, finding a replacement transmission should be rather easy. I dont think a rebuild is worth it, but a replacement,..sure.
