I believe your transmission is different than the 92 and prior unfortunately. Model number should be c150.

That is strange. I would still suggest keeping specific records when you gas up for the next couple of months. It's easy to do on paper, you basically need just your mileage (regular odometer, not tripometer), exactly how much you put in, and the date. Other things to watch might be the station...

Was it the same model of engine? Like my 93 DX, the 1.8 is a 7afe. If I remember correctly, there's a plate on the grill side with the model number.

The O/D light is a fault code. I believe you would check for trans codes the same way you do engine codes. Engine light blinks in patterns for engine codes, o/d light likewise blinks for transmission codes.

Wondering if something is maybe shorting. Does it only happen when your headlights are on, and does highbeam vs. lowbeam make a difference?

Sounds like something in the wiring. So, take one headlight and wiggle the wires on the back and see if it changes anything. Also check the bulb connection and make sure it's seated all the way. Do any of your other lights work? (highbeams vs. lowbeams, parking, turn signal, brake, reverse...

You also mentioned some hesitation. What is it doing there?
