Just buy one of the 3M headlight restoration kits. They are cheap and work great. Although, I heard that they can wear off the seal of your headlights so they will get yellow and hazey even faster the second time. I just bought new assemblies off ebay. $80 for the pair and boom... brand new look...

Yup what Scott said. First start by checking all your fuses. If all those check out, grab a volt meter and see if you are getting power to the pump. If you are, then it's provably just a bad pump. If you aren't you'll have to do more digging into your electrics.

I think the stock system actually sounds pretty decent. A little weak on the low end, but add a single 10 or 12 and it sounds great in my opinion. For reference, I have a 7.2 Klipsch set up in my living room... So I am a little picky when it comes to sound.

If just the bulb is coming out, just use some JW Weld to keep it in there. If you ever needed to replace the bulb later on though, it could make it tough. If it were me, I would just wedge a small piece of metal behind the bulb to keep it from coming loose.

X2 on checking brake fluid and making sure there is no air in the lines. If you are at high miles and never had the brake system flushed, do that first. About $70 service at most brake specialty shops. They will also be able to tell you if the master cylinder is failing as Scott mentioned.
