I am having the same problem. Corolla 2012 le. trunk lock assembly Part number 64600-12031 (they claim that is the part number..no picture)is broken. Replacement looks easy how ever I nee to replace my cable also. How does one replace the cable?

I just received a recall notice for my 2012 white corolla le. It is for exterior paint on all of the metal panels but not the bumpers.

the trunk deck lid lock assembly has broken. part # 64600-12031. And the cable seems to be broken. Where can I find these parts at a reasonable price and how do I replace the cable?
