A friend of mine is giving me a muffler he hasn't used, part #14834. The corollas have there stock pipe which is 2.25" and this muffler inlet is 3" so i would be welding it on with a adapter but my concern is would the muffler than sound to obnoxious/raspy or would it still have its usual growl...
I was to surprised/shocked to see it redline so I didn't try anything else, I did however try to replicate it again after an hour or so but no luck it's driving normal for now

Today while driving i decided to put my car in "sport" mode at a stop and as soon as i took off i floored it and usually the car would shift "gears" but the car stuck in its "1st gear" and went to redline and it didnt "shift" i back off the pedal until the RPM's drop to around 3k and...
I was wondering if the corolla has a rear tow hook or am i just missing mines? I had it up on the hoist at work and didnt seem to see the rear one, just seen the one in the front center positioned horizontally. Thanks for the feedback.
I have the K&N typhoon installed, it doesnt lag for me as much but yes uphill it takes forever for RPMs to climb and it only starts to roars from around 2800 rpms but from a complete stop its not too lagy
When i shift my car from Nuetral to Drive it also makes that grinding sound and i also have a grinding sound everytime i start my car, and it goes away right after it starts.
