Donabed- Both the wires are signal wires. Found out the hard way, (cutting, etc.). I wound up taking the 2 sensors apart, and attaching the top part of the sensor that attaches to the harness to the bottom of the JDM sensor and put it back in. No more knock sensor code!

I have need of a forum, business, whatever on the knock sensor on my car. I did a JDM motor swap and its the last thing to be done to pass DEQ. Looking for anything really to make it work.

Did a JDM motor swap and the stock wiring harness is a dual wire to a dual pin on the knock sensor and the JDM motor (naturally) is a single wire to a single pin. Is there an adapter for this? Any other fixes? I need to get this resolved to pass DEQ soon. Thanks!

The company I bought the motor from has been less than helpful. I am imagining its 102 or 104 in Japan.

My buddy and I did a JDM motor swap in my '07 Corolla S. I know that the motors run on a higher octane in Japan. I've recently gone to using a concentrated racing fuel, and the car runs alot smoother and the gas mileage is a lot better as well (imagine that). So...my question is: Does anyone...

One thing...do not use ammonia based window cleaners!! Ammonia makes the bubbling happen and some tint places wont tell you that!

My buddy and I just did an engine swap to a JDM motor in my '07. The motor is just too big to use the cold air intake I currently am using, and I want to change to a short ram intake. What will work? I don't want to be ordering and exchanging endlessly to find one. Any ideas short of another...

Dumb question, I know, and you probably did...but did you swap the head unit. I did a swap in my '07 without doing the head unit and it sounded like crap until I did...
