2016 corolla edition special

#4
I'm looking at getting either a 2016 Corolla S or special edition or a 2016 Mazda3 Sedan. The Mazda3 seems to offer a lot of things on the inside, along with blind spot monitoring over the Corolla. The Corolla on the other hand rides softer and has more room. I'm stuck on these two cars, but I've always questioned the longevity of a Mazda vs a Corolla.

Get the Mazda it has more hp the se Corolla is a rip off its se but looks like a regular s model if you make something a 'special edition' model why not do it right for example Honda civic si Mugen :)

I test drove the Mazda3 this past weekend. Really nice car. Only problem is the one I want costs more than the Corolla S Premium because I enjoyed the extra options of course. It's going to come down to how valuable are those extra options to get versus trying to do most of them aftermarket.

The Bose sound system is sweet.

I serious doubt there will be Any body style changes for US Corollas in 2016.
In other words if you parked a 2014 and a '16 Corolla side by side it would be Very hard to tell the difference.

well, first Jlinn, the Civic SI is not a "special" edition vehicle. It is a regular production "high" performance model. It is a trim line of the Civic. The Corolla special edition will only have a limited run of examples, thus "special" edition. Second, the Corolla XRS was the "high" performance trim that was dropped. One reason it was dropped is because people had a hard time saying Corolla and High performance in the same sentence and sales were not strong enough to merit an XRS model in the new style. Will Toyota bring back the XRS? who knows.

Who makes the Mugen SI? Does Honda make it or does a tuner take an SI and add things to it to make it a Mugen? If Honda makes it are there a limited number made, or are they mass manufactured along will the rest of the Civic line? I suppose one can argue all day but to me Special edition means a limited run of a particular model of a car with some extra things in it, made in house by the manufacturer.

I believe Honda makes them and it's a limited number
