Which Car Did You Come From?

The good thing is that since you replaced a mustang with a corolla, you now have a car that will easily last 15 years.
The mustang wont be worth crap in 5 years if you're lucky.

I had a 1995 GT
I like Ford over any American made.
Kept it 6 mo.
Fast and fun....Infiniti Q45- Better car with a V8.

I just don't think you understand the wisdom in your choice.

You will.

Toyota or Honda- Possibly a Nissan.
Nothing else for me.
I almost bought a 2012 S but glad I didn't.
2014 is much nicer.
I sure as heck wouldn't choose a mustang over this car unless it was a SALEEN or customized Roush.
Stock...faggettaboutit!

Don't second guess yourself.
You did right my man.

I had a 1996 GT as a project car but I let it go. Was turning into a money pit and between work and school, I had no time.

Richard, Mustangs hold their value quite well for an American car.

2003 Buick Century. 160,000 miles, needed new tires, new brakes, a/c compressor, new struts and the gas gauge doesn't work.

Now it's my teenage daughter's beat-around-town car. I did fix the brakes first, but she's gotta drive around with the windows down in the summer.

2007 Lexus IS250, got it as a rebuilt vehicle. Replaced the rear wheel bearings for $2000. Didn't even fix the issue I was trying to get fixed so I decided to get a new vehicle for the first time. Luckily my gf's father works as a salesman at one of dealerships in Houston. Got me '14 Toyota Corolla S Premium for $20,400 @ 0% APR for 60 months (in Blue, wanted the super White but the location I was at didn't have it in inventory).

I was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry for the past week and I can't honestly tell a significant different in cabin noise. I could've purchased my mom's Camry for 11k w/ 52,000 miles (clean title) but couldn't pass up getting a newer Corolla with better MPG. I was very intrigued when I was watching a review and heard that the new Rollas were basically a smaller Camry with better gas mileage.

Honestly I can't agree with you on that, not to derail the thread but I hardly see any Mustangs that are worth any value besides the newer ones and the older ones '60's-'70ish years. I've seen many Corollas of all years but I haven't seen as many Mustangs. That being said though I wouldn't pass up a chance to purchase a '67 Mustang fastback (gone in 60 seconds edition)!

Corollas outsell Mustangs by quite a bit. I still see a few fox bodies running around here ('79 - '93). Fords have been holding value better over the years. GM and others? Not so much.

1999 Nissan Maxima SE-L

loved every second of that car. It was a 5 spd and handled like a f****** dream! Unfortunately it was just getting old and was approaching 200k miles. Not to mention the gas mileage was starting to kill me. But it's still in great shape and still in my possession, unfortunately I don't have the space for two cars and am selling it :(

Well I got it new and paidit off last season. It still operates excellent. I purchased the Ford, because of the stated stability and its resided up too it. I went to Chevy for the same purpose, we'll see how it performs out.

1976 Buick regal paid 1700 for it had it for 3 month and had to get a new engine ( I pushed it before I truly knew what was wrong with it) saw the Corolla but I didn't want it but Im glad I bought great fuel economy and if I need to drive fast 115 is an ok speed for me :)

2002 Ford Explorer. I had it for a year. Gas mileage was horrible but what I hated the most was the tranny first of all it was an auto second had it rebuilt once in that year and felt like it should have been rebuilt again. Now I have a 14 Corolla L with a manual. Love it. Might switch out for a Taco with a stick in a few years but for now I love my Corolla. It's a far cry from my mom's 99 rolla

1987 BMW 325ic Convertible - original owner. (Very desirable in the end). We grew out of it, did not want to spend the $$$ for a 3rd top plus another maintenance/repair cycle. I have had Toyota's for many years currently 1999 Avalon XLS (purchased new) that is simply a GEM! Bought a 15 Corolla LE Premium. It replaced the BMW as a 2nd vehicle. The Corolla is spacious, comfortable, quiet and fully equipped and yes it has a large truck. Is the first car I have owned where the rear seat drop down to extend truck... and still includes a rear armrest with cup holder. Toyota included very nice immunities, yet kept cost down.

I had a 2001 Lexus IS300, fun car but nearly as practical or roomy as the 2015 Corolla I have now. Plus the IS300 was terrible in the snow, even with winter tires. I got the Corolla not realizing I was going to like as much as I do.

2004 Volvo S80 T-6.
It was a rolling money pit, one thing after another! Plus, I drive about 2,000 miles each month, so the 25mpg on premium unleaded (gotta love those older twin turbo engines!) was no joy.

Went with a 2015 Corolla Eco. Averaging over 43mpg so far and love the car!

2013 Scion FR-S. Looking for something a bit bigger and just more practical from driving to work and back and weekend runs to stores. Modded the hell out of the FR-S and now it's back to stock to sell. Real fun car, but has some quirks.

Buying a 2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium here in a week or two once I finalize things.
