Show It Off!

The organized and awesome style of the car allows it take a position out among other idea cars. Looking simple but nice car! Especially its color, amazing.

I like the blue plasti dip looks good. Not sure if it is me or not but the Corolla badge does not look level. seems to be higher on the left side than the right. I will get one on mine on here but I added something to it so I will take a picture soon.

how do I load an image?
Go to www.imgur.com, upload the image, then copy the "Direct Link" to your clipboard. From there, begin a post and press the image button in the toolbar. The button that looks like this:

It will add the appropriate code for you.

Also, I guess it's the picture. The emblem isn't crooked at all but now that you've said that I can see it.

Nice pinstripes!

Also, I almost bought a white 2013 but ultimately decided I liked the black more. Now when I see white ones that have a little extra black added to them, it makes me wish I had the white one. Oh well!

thanx. the Pinstripes are something I have been thinking about for a while. I wanted something different and could not decide how to start and end them. I laid them with the body line and then just finished it as is. White was the only choice as it was a TCUV Toyota, but I really like it, windows were tinted already so the look is already there. Here is what I have done in the interior (have with most my cars)

and this adds 10 horse power

I have an idea. I've used a similar technique when painting the engraving/etching on firearms. You use fingernail polish and completely cover the engraved area so that all the crevices are filled, then while it's still wet you wipe away most of the excess with a paper towel, then finally when it's completely dry you use fingernail polish remover (acetone) to wipe the smears and whatnot away.

Very similar method I did buck. Except I used cheap water based craft paint I bought at a craft store. I used a small thin paint brush and filled the void. Repeated several times once dry to get the colour desired. In between coats wipe around with a q tip with alcohol or a mild cleaner.

Since you guys are very observant of every speck of dirt, this one is for you! This was taken right after we had a lot of wind then rain.

Don't worry, my car is rarely ever that dirty. My neighbors make fun of me because I wash my car every three or four days..

Image taken a month or so I guess, not much of a glamour shot though.
Very late 2011 5 speed, only real add on is some custom fitted neoprene seat covers to dress up the interior just a bit.
My daily driver @ 85 miles a day to work and back

vroom vroom lol

thanks asherstan,
I try to take care of it. I spend a lot of time on the road.
I think I had just applied Klasse "all in one" and sealant when that pic was taken.

Hey everyone. I'm new to the corolla forum!
I've had my car for two years, but I just started working on it around March.
Here's how my baby sits as of 7/17/2016.

Sweet ride..i love the dark charcoal grey...what mods are you looking at doing?
Thank you. Yeah I love the whole grey/black/white theme of my car. I want to do more exterior mods so my eyes are pleased lol.. Not sure which exterior mods I want to go with. For actual MODS... I'm looking more towards a borla exhaust or a custom made exhaust. Not sure yet, also going to look into a cold air intake so it can have more of a choppy/low sound. :D

Hello everyone. I started some Flexidip painting near the beginning of the month. I was out of the country for 2 weeks and since I have been back, specially this past week, The painting bug has got a hold of me. This is what I've done.

Now I did have the trim around the shift lever painted, but the paint started to split on the bottom right side. I should have pealed it off and started again but the rest was so good looking I tried to fix it. no matter what I did it did not work. I don't have enough paint left so I pealed it off and I found that in the spot I was working it manage to damage the OEM rubberized finish. I am not to happy but nothing a trip to the wreckers can fix.

IMG_8310.JPG I've done a few cosmetic and utilitarian mods:

  • Plasti dipped the rear emblems black except for the "S"
  • Plasti dipped the front Toyota emblem red (not sure if I like it or not) IMG_8308.JPG
  • Installed Universal Rally Armor mud flaps (YES, I know it's not a Subie or even awd, but I wanted to protect the paint and OEM mud flaps are non existent)
  • Spider decal (because I am pursuing a master's degree in entomology and my research involves spiders )
