2005 Corolla S 5 speed issues

#1
Hi, I just had gotten my clutch replaced on my 2005 corolla s..I picked the car up and made sure it ran through all the gears including reverse. The only thing that concerned me was the fact that the shift lever would move a lot farther to the left in order to engage 1st gear...but I left anyway thinking that it was okay. I drove the car a good 15 miles back to my house and parked it. 15 minutes later I got back in my car to go to class..started the car and proceeded to put it in reverse but when I did, it seemed like it was in a high forward gear, most likely 4th. I had no time to look at it because I was already running late. I drove to school and pulled into the parking lot and put the car in neutral to roll over a speed bump, I then went to put it back in 1st and realized that it would not go. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th all work fine. I'm thinking shift linkage but I'm really not sure..any thoughts?

The links of your gear lever and the gear box needs adjustment. probably too much play in these links. Ask them to adjust. It is not easy to to this but an experience mechanic can do it.
