Headlight Blackout

has anyone tried blacking out their headlights. I watched some videos on YouTube on some frs/brz I'm thinking about doing it to the ole rolla. Maybe do the chrome piece that my eyelids cover up. Some opinions would be good.

Are you talking total blackout or eyelids?

ShineGraffix.com sells a blackout kit for the front taillights or you can find eyelids on eBay....goodluck trying to do it yourself with a flat piece of vinyl...I am familiar with vinyl and couldn't even do it, so i opt for the eyelids.

The trick is heat. I made my own eyelids out of 3M Di-noc, but I used the eBay eyelids as a template.

Painting the chrome inside the headlights. Kinda like a black out.

I would check if this is even legal. In my humble opinion, I’m totally against blacking out and dimming any lights, front or back. Manufacturers and most people are doing things to brighten their lights for better visibility, safety, and courtesy. Doing things to your lights that may degrade its functionality even for looks just doesn’t make sense to me.
