Euh... You left the two most plausible variables of the equation out : the gas pump and the operator. The car doesn't "pump" gas, the gas station pump does, hence it's name.

I know the car does not pump the gas and the operator knows how to pump the gas but my cars seems to not like having a pump stuck in it’s side

Hi Pat, i'm in California, and if you don't get the collar of the gas nozzle firmly around the neck of the gas filler pipe, it will click off. Sometimes that will repeat endlessly, and i have to stand at the gas door and manually hold it up against the pipe so fumes don't shut off the pump. Other states have the same setup on the gas pumps, but not all. (Hoping for a FREE explanation and not something the dealer has to investigate and charge for!)

Well car back from dealer and voila all fixed problem was charcaol canister
Approx 700$ canadian to fix lucky for me had 90 day return on my car purchase so dealer paid the bill
I had to replace my charcoal canister on my 2009 Corolla S a couple of years ago. Over filling is the main issue which I used to do. It was an easy fix though. The part was around $100 from the dealer and it took me less then an hour to change.

Good News, but also bad for the rest of us 'Rolla owners too! Hope a recall doesn't happen!
Actually, if it was a spread defect, I'd rather have a recall ;). There was one a couple of years ago but for Corolla outside North America. And another one 25 years or so ago in North America. So nothing point to something else than an odd unit defect or, as other have mention, an over-filling habit issue.
