New member here from Southern California. Just bought a brand new 2018 iM this past weekend. Loving it so far. There was an idling issue that is concerning me because the last car I had never idled up or down while the AC was on. So when the AC is on, I notice it will idle up to about 900 RPM then back down to the normal 600 RPM. It will do this continuously while I’m waiting for the traffic light to turn green. Since this is a brand new car I didn’t expect the idle to fluctuate at all even with the AC on. So far it will not idle up if the AC is off. My question is, is this normal idle behavior for newer Toyota? I called my sales person and he said it is normal but I wanted to see if other Corolla/iM owners experience the same issue?
