I have a 2010 Corolla and the selection dial started getting stiff between dash/floor and floor selection until one day it stuck completely. I tried moving it again to the point where I dislocated the gear in back that the knob is connected to. I first checked the knob itself and found that it was working properly by marking the cable with a marker and seeing that the cable is in fact moving back as fourth as it should. After tracing the cable back to the airbox I noticed that the main gear attached to the box has become disconnected. I would like a schematic of this area or a video on how to access it better and how to reassemble this gear to the box. I have scoured youtube and all fixes deal with the knob itself which is not an issue in this circumstance. Any help would be appreciated.
