Random Acceleration jerks when pulling off from a dead stop.

#1
Recently got a 2014 Corolla S with 80000Km on the ODO. I noticed lately that when I accelerate from a complete stop, there is a subtle jerk. Almost like a cut in power for a split second and then all is fine halfway down when I press the gas. It happens randomly too. Slipping transmission? or carburetor issues probably? Anyone with the same issue?

CVT transmission? Mine has a similar issue (LE ECO), except it feels like a hesitation/dead spot off acceleration and then the transmission lags behind the power band as it tries to catch up. I was hoping the CVT s/w campaign would have fixed that, but no go.

Yes mine is a CVT. Im looking to see if it continues to persist. Im still under warranty anyway. It just bothers me. Especially when I have passengers at the back. The throttle response really is underwhelming.

my 2014 corolla s does that same jerking motion sometimes......even after the big recall they had where they flashed the transmission and made it more "efficient" it still lacks.

To me it sounds like a pedal issue. Your car has higher mileage so there might be a buildup on the accelerator pedal contacts.
Your pedal is electronic.
Disconnect it, pull it out and try to clean it. Can’t hurt anyways. Stick with contact cleaner and not WD-40 type stuff.
