2010 Corolla VSC and TRAC lights on

I had twice previously ( while fumbling for the side mirror control ) accidentally turned off the vsc and trac systems. By reading the manual. I was, after multiple attempts, able to get the systems on again. Two days ago while driving, I noticed the vsc and trac lights on again ( I had not touched the switch ), also the check engine light was on. No amount of stopping and starting and stopping the engine will reset the systems on again. Anyone else ever have this issue? I'm concerned this could affect the transmission or who knows what else. Any and all advice is much appreciated. Thanks, Jersey Bob

Happened to me a few times. Ended up being loose gas cap. I eventually replaced the gas cap because of the seal being bad. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I had been told to try that, no luck. A friend suggested I go to AutoZone and have them scan the codes, which I did. It came up with a code for a O2 sensor, the associate told me it was probably a false code, and to try disconnecting the battery. Much to my suprise, it worked, no trac or vsc or check engine lite. Saved me a trip to the dealer.which for me would be like going to the dentist w;o novacaine. Thanks for replying, Jersey Bob
