Does anyone know what the ideal steering angles are for a 2012 Corolla ? Car wanders .

Sounds like the car needs a 4-wheel alignment.

Maybe it is the road traveled, sometimes that stretch will make thecar go wondering due to a heavy t ruck and summer heat sinking the tar. try a road that you know was straight and level. if all else fail s an alignment is best like scott said

Agreed, but what are the ideal steering angles? The factory angles may not be the best, especially CASTER. Of course, the other angles are affected as well. Perhaps the factory spec is too loose, i.e. too much leeway approved just to get the car out the door and onto the transporter in the time alloted.;)

Beleive it or not a lot of engineering goes into building a car. The steering (everything for that matter) is designed to achieve what the manufacturer built the car for. Gas mileage, ride and handling etc etc. By altering it will detract from some other aspects of the drive. I noticed my 2013 will "wander" a bit on uneven road surface but that is because of the electric assit. All I do is keep my hands on the wheel and keep it straight. Check the tire wear if it is uneven then it is alignment.

The ideal alignment settings are per Toyota. Highly educated, trained and experienced engineers determined the best alignment settings for your Toyota and it would be best to take advantage of all their education, training and experience by following their recommendations.

There are no loose or tight alignment settings. New cars are almost always out of alignment because when they are transported on car haulers, they are chained down to the car hauler and then cinched down tight so the vehicle doesn't bounce around excessively during transport. This compresses the suspension more than at any time in the vehicles lifespan and will typically pull a new vehicle out of alignment, so with any new car it's a wise idea to have the alignment checked to verify if it's in specification or not.
