    An update for any future browsers looking for an answer.. I bought three belts downsized by 0.25 inches from OEM starting at 47.5", and the 1st one I tried worked. OEM is 48 inches.. The belt that works after installing the Singer alt, is measured @ 47.5 inches. The other 2 that weren't used...

    And oh, found that this has happened before to others. It's real folks. Very real.. It's a good way to get ripped a lot of $$$ by a shop knowing this, but blaming some other major component instead.

    This actually happened to me today as well (Code P060E: 2010 Corolla LE - 1.8L) ..     Installing HO Alternator by Singer. Need belt size for 2010 1.8L

    Have been looking everywhere and can't find any info. The pulley on the HO alt is 1.7" in size. I know that the belt needed will have to be shorter, but by how much? Stock length is 48".. The OEM Pulley is 2.43" I believe.
