I have not heard of this recall, is this for all 2012 corollas?

Start with the simple things such as battery terminals, make sure they are clean and in good shape. It is possible that the battery shows good but is actually bad, if you can not get the car started take the battery out and take it to be tested at an auto parts store.

I'm pretty certain they quit the timing belts on the Corollas in 01, is this correct? So I'm pretty certain you would not have to mess with that. I have not looked at the water pump on the newer corolla so I'm not to sure how hard of a job it would be to change out, I would most likely change...

I just wanted to say hello. I've driven Toyota vehicles since 1986 when I bought my new toyota truck, since then I've owned several camrys a tocoma pickup and now the 2012 corolla. I look forward to discussing issues we may have or ideas to make things work better with our corollas!

This has happened tp me as well, it started today, it just seems to come on at times. I hate intermittent problems! Besides this the car seems great:)
