    battery replaced yet?

I changed the battery in my daughter's 2014 Corolla when it hit 4 years old. My experience in Rav4's was that the OEM Toyota batteries last 4-5 years, and since she doesn't live near me, I wanted the peace of mind knowing she had a good battery. Also, Advanced Auto was having a 20% off sale, so...

    Trunk lock broken

Lubrication solves a lot of problems. Try it in your trunk lock and that might be all it requires.

    Trunk lock broken

That will work, as long as it's the right part. I suggest if you do that clean and lube the lock before installing it. Spray some WD40 into it, let it drain, then spray some Teflon or silicone lube in.

    New Battery, Lost Bluetooth

Yes, it's a NAV unit. The good news is my daughter texted me last night that it is now working. I just hope it continues to. Thanks.

    Trunk lock broken

The only way to be able to use the same key is to have a locksmith rekey the new lock. In that case, you might as well buy from him/her in the first place.

    New Battery, Lost Bluetooth

I put a new battery in my daughter's 2014 Corolla LE this morning. Now, the Bluetooth and USB options in Setup are greyed out, and she can't set up her phone. Everything else seems to be working. I've searched and found many instances of the Bluetooth function being greyed out, but not after a...

    Brake Change

They told me there was 4.5mm pad material left. This is my daughter's car, I didn't want to try to eke out all the mileage I could since I don't get the car from her too often. She needed a state inspection and that's why the car was in there. I understand what you are saying about inferior...

    Brake Change

Coming real late to this, but I had this done yesterday at Mavis Tire. $279 for pads, new rotors and fluid flush. Also, a lifetime warranty on the pads. I don't know what brand they use.

    Cabin Air Filter

I just bought one, since I was getting for my Rav4 and they are the same filter. However, the Corolla is only about 2 months old, so it'll be awhile before I replace the cabin filter.

    What Oil?

I realize you're in the oil industry and know more than I about these matters. My wife's 2012 Honda CRV requires 0W-20 oil, the manual does not state it needs synthetic. When getting the oil changed at the Honda dealer, they only charge about $2.89/quart for 0W-20 oil. That is not synthetic...

What Did You Do to Your Corolla Today?

Put on body side mouldings, Toyota OEM. Not a bad job, took about 1/2 hour for both sides. In NYC, almost a necessity.
