Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

Trust me you are better off with the 2015 Corolla over a used IS250. I had a 2007 IS250 and paid for nothing but repairs while I owned it. Even without the repairs the entire interior (all 4 door panels + complete dash) is made of some amazingly annoying texture that does not mix well with humid...

    DIY 3d printed phone dock/charger

Creative mod! I wouldn't be able to do this mod because I frequently use my phone to navigate while driving to unknown destinations (Yes in retrospect I would have gotten the S premium model with Manual transmission in white for the same price I paid for my blue Automatic transmission S plus and...

2015 Corolla LE Eco Premium-Extremely Rough Ride after 3,500 miles-HELP!

The symptoms you seem to be having do no sound like normal wear and tear. I would suspect something is wrong with your tires, alignment, brake rotors, or rims. My vehicle is exceptionally smooth but that also has to do with the fact that I frequently drive my car to work using a...

    2015 Headlight Indicator

All the vehicles I have EVER driven have always had a headlight/headlamp indicator on the driver's dashboard display. This also includes motorcycles, I am assuming that you may have left your vehicle in the *DRL* mode so the road is still lit but your "actual night headlight function" isn't on.

How to double check if the doors are really close with smart key still in pocket?

I don't have first hand experience with the 2016 Corolla per say but I have owned and driven many models with the smart key function. Immediately after locking the car with pushing the button or groove to lock the car you should be able to handle check (to see if its locked) if you haven't...

    2014 Corolla Headlight Bulb

Wow that's a surprise to me, I thought the bulb would be easily replaced. I can't wait until one of my headlights goes out.

    Magnaflow dropped mpg

You're dash MPG average really says 24MPG? Do you happen to reset it every time you fuel up? I imagine the worst contributing variable in low MPG is the initial accelerating from a stand still. My on board computer tells me I average 34-38 MPG and I keep my RPMS under 2,000 when I'm...

Winter Mats, Weather Tech or Husky Liners?

Husky >> Weathertech, I've had plenty of weathertech mats in my past vehicles and they all have the same things in common. They all tend to slide on the passenger side, the Husky mats work very well, they have small spikes on the back to keep from moving. I also feel the same about more bang for...

    Change the Blinks!

Yeah I thought the 3 blinks encouraged me to change lanes too quickly. When I took my care in for the 5,000 mile "service/oil change". I asked the Toyota rep to change my # of blinks from 3 -> 5, he initially had no idea what that was (even after I demonstrated it for him) but was able to ask...

2014 Corolla Sport LED Lights/HID Headlights

any chance you could repost the links to your LED's ? I remember trying to upgrade my LED's to it would help improve my rear back up camera's visibility at night. thanks!

NEW MEMBER! SOME OF MY MODS! WHAT HAVE YALL MODIFIED ON YOUR COROLLA?

Pretty cool mods, I would only say that the Toyota emblem looks like it clashes with the Batman logo, other than that tasteful mods!

Interior Illumunation Cutomization and Turn Signal Duration

Next question would be pretty stupid but how long did it normally take to get them to adjust the timing? I also find it too quick to safely change lanes in 3 blinks. I've already received a ticket once for not keeping my turn signal light on (I used about 2-3 blinks).

Interior Illumunation Cutomization and Turn Signal Duration

When you guys are referring to the blinks, are you talking about the part where you can lightly tap either left/right and the turn signals stay on for a few seconds and turn off?

    LED Headlights

I would just highbeam them back to show them that you are clearly not using your highbeams. I like the slight blue hint and especially the cut off. It's probably a little sharper than the OEM IS250's headlights I was previously used to.

Can you post a video on YouTube and link it? Perhaps that'll give us a better understanding about what issue you're referring to.

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

Saiyan, I personally think you should at least test drive the Corolla and the new Civic so you can get a 1st hand view of how both handles. Getting someone else's opinion is great but you'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you don't at least give the Corolla a test drive. Just my two cents.

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

I've only driven the 8th generation Civic a handful of times but I can definitely tell you the new Corolla's steering will definitely feel a bit stiffer. When using the rear view mirror I don't notice a big issue with visibility in regards to the headrests, the rear window is big enough for...

Which Car Did You Come From?

Honestly I can't agree with you on that, not to derail the thread but I hardly see any Mustangs that are worth any value besides the newer ones and the older ones '60's-'70ish years. I've seen many Corollas of all years but I haven't seen as many Mustangs. That being said though I wouldn't pass...

Which Car Did You Come From?

2007 Lexus IS250, got it as a rebuilt vehicle. Replaced the rear wheel bearings for $2000. Didn't even fix the issue I was trying to get fixed so I decided to get a new vehicle for the first time. Luckily my gf's father works as a salesman at one of dealerships in Houston. Got me '14 Toyota...

    Damaged Paint?

Thing is with Plastidip is that you're still going to see the textures in the abrasions/scratches. I've plastidip'd a few things from car rims to motorcycle fairings. Also remember to allow the plastidip to cure (depending on how hot/humid/cold it is) before you start to drive the Rolla around...
