    Splayed out wheels

Basically, I loosened the two strut bolts, jerked the wheel upright, and tightened down the bolts. Sent the car to my wheel alignment guy, he made some minor adjustments to camber/castor. All is well now, and the car has been sold for good money! Replaced with a 2006 low mileage Corolla, sort of...

P0328 code what do I do? oh what to do?

I have the same problem. Code reader say heater failure Bank 1Sensor 1. Changed both sensors in the exhaust, 1 in front of catalytic convertor, the other just after. Solved nothing. Disconnected the battery terminal, waited a few minutes, reconnected and started car. Cleared all codes, and 20...

    Oxygen sensor2

My 09 Corolla has the same problem with the "check engine" light coming on, as well as the traction control flashing on and off. I have change the Bank1 sensor 1 unit three times, as well as the bank2 sensor 2 downstream unit, still pops on lights 20 seconds after clearing code with OBD2 reader...

    2013 Corolla roof paint delaminating

That looks like a crappy paint job, and as usual, Toyota is trying to sidestep responsibility. Fords in the late 60's had a huge problem with their light color blue paint, peeled off the same way as it appears in your photo.

    poor acceleration from rest/stop

Sometimes something as simple as disconnecting your battery for a couple of minutes, then reconnecting reboots the onboard computer, which then seems to relearn the correct performance parameters of your vehicle, and it runs much better and peppier after. I've noticed this a few times on my...

    Splayed out wheels

Actually, car has only around 70000miles on it, the links are new, the front brakes are new, I checked the lower table bushings, all in good shape. No idea what changed the geometry, but I am taking it in for an electronic wheel alignment. Also table is straight, no signs of impact or...

    Splayed out wheels

Examined the ball joints this morning, made a comparison to the old ones. They are identical.Centered the steering wheel, left side tire perfectly straight, but right side slightly turned outward. I had removed the tie rod at the spindle, taking out the cotter pin, removing the 14mm castle nut...

    Splayed out wheels

Just installed two new lower ball joints on my son's 2003 Corolla, lowered the car down, and took it for a test drive. Car steers wonky, steering wheel not straight and centered. Never went over 20 MPH, front tires scuffing the pavement, stopped, jumped out, and I see that they are not standing...

check engine light and trac off

My car threw code #2195...which is the O2 sensor between engine and catalytic convertor. Ordered a replacement online for around $50. OBD2 reader wipes out the code for around a half hour, then lights pop on again(engine light & VSC Off) and runs unevenly, surging as you accelerate.

2006 Corolla LE Chirping noise when braking

The slight chirping that you hear may be actually from the rear brakes. They may be over adjusted, back off the adjusters on both drums and the noise will disappear. I've had this happen on a 2003, 2004, and a 2010.

Anyone ever find directions to program a new key

It's not fair, but you have to go with the $300 programming package. Buying the key is no problem....but without the "secret" program from the dealership or certified locksmith...you're out of luck.

    Anyone Flush Your Transmission Yet?

From what I have read...DON'T CHANGE IT!!! Unless you have a burnt smell when you check the dipstick, leave everything alone. Changing the fluid can actually shorten the life of the transmission on Toyota vehicles. According to the manual, it should just be checked and topped off if required...
