A CPO car, Certified Pre Owned, won't need to be checked out by a n independent mechanic. You would be paying more for a CPO which would carry a warranty.
I spend a lot of time, 3+ hours, behind the wheel of my Corolla every day. The only thing that I really wish it had would be more adjustable seats. I don't know it the XSE model has better seats or not.
My new Corolla is a 2017 so I really haven't had it long enough to have any issues with anything. My other Corolla is a 2001 and I never really had any major issues with it. But the 2001 doesn't have nearly the amount of electronics in it like the 2017.
Congratulations, great color!
What version Corolla was the '14? Base or LE, S? I would have expected the S Plus to be a better handling version of the Corolla.
Check out the site willtheyfit.com.
The stock S Plus wheels are 17x7 +39mm offset
The +47mm offset will cause the wheel to mount further into the wheel well and might cause issues when turning. You might get want to research it further to make the best choice...
It's way to over the top for me although I do like some of the styling cues like the lowered stance, rear exhaust pipes and hood.
I preferred the simplistic look for the previous SEMA Corolla with the HRE wheels.
