Well from my understanding, Toyota would have a fail safe system on not overdoing the tranmission and engine. If your on a higher gear at low speed, the car would shut off. Just like it won't let you shift down from a higher speed. So that could be the reason why you can't shift up

Depending on how the other owner was with the Corolla? Toyota will last 4ever. I driving in a AE86 with the engine Fup and still would take us everywhere. Like I said depending on how the other driver was with the car, with poor maintanice on the car, do that person look like he would RAG"show...

It's like an old computer, if you try to run a overloaded system it's will run slow or freeze.

Does the radio frezz as well? And you have to power off the radio. If you yes your overloading the etunes system, processing too much info!
