I bought a 1979 corolla and found out that it needs a new transmission, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a K series transmission or any others that would fit. Also, when converting from 4 speed to 5 speed, would I have to get a shorter drive shaft or will the current one work.

So I bought 79 Corolla a while back and I need a new pilot and throw out bearing and possibly a new transmission. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how to perform a smooth transmission drop and where to find the parts I am looking for. Also if it turns out that I do need a new...
