Not sure if this is related, but I changed the wheels on a Lexus IS250 to 18" IS350 wheels. The TPMS light stayed on. I had to pay the dealer about $125 to "reprogram the system" for the new wheels. Which means that it's a 5 min. job–if you have the equipment. May be some Youtube video somewhere...

There is a switch just to the left of the steering column on the dash. Push it while car is stopped.
