brake pads

My 2014 LE went 151,000 miles before I needed to replace the front break pads. Now at 187,000 miles the same dealership who did the break job says I'm down to 5mm and should replace the break pads again. How did the factory break pads last 151,000 miles but the dealership replacement only...

just wondering what brake setup yall have on your rollas. still have oem everything for me. thanks for the help
