    CVT shifting issue

Hi guys, My 2013 corolla has CVT transmission and it does not shift the gears until warms up. I know CVT does not have actual gears, it has pulleys and belt. But when it is cold, rpm stay high. it kinda does not shift gears. Is it due to low trans fluid or anything else. Anyone has any idea?

    2016 Corolla CVT Transmission Failure

Very frustrated. My 2016 Corolla I just got/financed last year (used) had the transmission go out and the dealer says it's $8,000 to fix. Took to another shop and they said $7,500. I entered my vin at toyota.com/recall and received the message, "There are no open Safety Recalls or Service...

    Drive shaft noise

My car is lowered, so this only applies to some on this forum. Since lowering my car on coilovers, I’m noticing the driveshafts have become noisy. I have thoroughly inspected them for the obvious, but they appear to be in great shape. While changing the oil last weekend, I reached up and...

    Idling Air Blower

I took my 2017 Corolla into the dealership this AM as the blower will randomly and dramatically decrease the amount of air blowing out. Yesterday on the highway, the blower stopped all air flow for about 30 seconds. I don't use the "auto" option as the constant fluctuations drives me crazy...

CVT Issues: More with the 'Sport mode' feature?

I'm looking to buy a 2017 Corolla I'm renting (will have inspected tomorrow). I thought I was getting an LE but it's an SE. Does the Sport feature ( and paddles )cause more issues (including the one that Toyota ahs a suspended campaign for)? Or is all of that just more electronic inputs to...

CVT transmission: "braking" and "maximum braking"

So I'm looking at buying a 2017 Corolla LE. As near as I can tell, with the LE I don't get the M setting w/ simulated gear-shifting control with the paddles I drove one of these as a rental, and noticed the owner's manual has the following definitions for the transmission modes the showed up...

    It fits, but...

...I’m gonna need to do something with the shift boot. I might buy the shift plate that goes on the automatic model since the rod is chrome. Any other ideas would be appreciated! PN: PTR51-00110

    2009 Corolla LE CVT transmission?

Hello, I'm going to buy a 2009 corolla LE on an auctions, but it doesn't say the type of transmission. What I wanted to ask is if it is possible 2009 corolla LE to have a CVT transmission? I extremely do not want my car to be with CVT. Also I would like to know if transmissions with "L" letter...

New Owner - Question about driving in reverse (CVT transmission)

Hello, I bought a pre-owned 2014 Corolla LE. This is the first car that I have driven with a CVT so the experience is new to me. One major question: is it normal when going in reverse at high speed that the car starts jerking and reving up. A mechanic told me that is normal because there is...
