1.5 quarts low on engine oil

So I've been driving my 2013 Corolla for about 4000 miles while 1.5 quarts low on engine oil, was just wondering if I caused any damage. Thanks for your input

I would say, its a 4Banger it takes 4Qts, not 2.5 Qts !
you are running LOW !

You should have added oil as soon as you found out you were low. How did you know you drove it for 4k? Low oil may cause overheating, engine breakdown, or both. Hopefully yours is ok.

It was about a centimeter above the low mark, there's no leaks or anything so I must've been complacent when changing the oil. I should've checked it periodically, I just changed it again and brought it to the proper level and checked the dipstick a few times,
