1985 Toyota Corolla Engine Flush Question

#1
I am looking at purchasing a 1985 Toyota Corolla with 91,000 miles. The owner said that they had quite a bit of work done to it, including an oil change and an "engine flush". I have heard good and bad about engine flushes and have heard some serious cases where an engine failed not long after the flush.

I have not gone to see it yet, as it's over an hour and half away, but I intend on going down there in the next few days. The owner says it runs good, and the work they supposedly put in it is amazing including new axles, headlights, alternator, timing belt, brakes, rotors, calipers, motor mounts, all tie rods, complete exhaust system, AC work, etc. But I can't get the idea out of my head that the engine was flushed.

What do you guys think? Should I avoid this vehicle just on the basis that the engine was flushed?
