Hi Guys, I hope someone can help me out with this...
Car (1998 toyota corolla ae 111) was working fine, but spotted an oil leak immediately, so had the oil seal replace. Upon putting it back together, the car was hard starting (delay of 3 - 4 seconds, so was advised to replace coil. car was working perfectly fine, except for hard starting) today had the coil replaced with a brand new one, including the ignitor, now the car is sputtering, with loss of power. What happened? Mechanic is advising me to buy a new distributor, but I am hesitant, since it was working fine except for the hard starting, until he disassembled it.
Now he is saying there is a chance there is a problem with the ECU, yet how can the ECU be a problem when it is working fine and just came off from an oil seal problem.
