Has anyone pulled out the vvt oil filter that is located under the variable valve timing oil control solenoid? I am wondering what to expect when I attempt to do so. I am having intermittent faulty timing obd II codes displaying and my research indicates that the solenoid and the filter are frequently the problem. I just do not want to encounter any sudden, unexpected parts jumping out at me! No "can of snakes" gag type happening please.
