My trunk release lever stopped working. I searched and found this to be a common problem. The suggested solutions ranged from irrelevant to snarky, so I will assure the alert sniper that yes, I do know the difference between regular and valet keys, and yes, my trunk latch is in the vertical position. This is a real problem with the anti-valet mechanism. Fortunately, you can fix it in 10 minutes with one zip tie. You will defeat the anti-valet feature. But really, if we could afford valet, would we be driving Corollas?!
