2004 corolla NZE 120

#1
hi all
I have a corolla model NZE 120 and the problem is that when the engine is started at cold the engine revolution is normal (around 1200 rpm) but when the engine gets working temperature the idle rises, instead of 800 rpm it goes up to 1700 rpm. Any suggestion what might be causing that??

If your Corolla’s isn’t choking or stalling or the RPM needle isn’t dancing like crazy. I want to assume that your Corolla is operating normally.

My only suggestion is to:

Clean and reseat your battery terminal.

Clean MAP sensor.

Check your air filer (replace if needed).

Replace your PCV valve.

Inspect your spark plugs (replace if needed).

Get a alternator/battery test done.
