The cylinder head of my 1zz engine was damaged and I was told by the engineers that it has reached its limit. I own a 2005 Toyota Corolla 180GSX. At some point, it was smoking and then I did an engine overhaul. The cylinder head was redone. Unfortunately something went wrong and the cylinder head was damaged again. The mechanic took it back to engineers and it was sorted and put back in the engine. The car was on the road for almost a year and then the cylinder head was again damaged. When another mechanic took it to engineers, it was indicated that the head has reached its limit. I have been hunting down for a cylinder head to replace the damaged one, but was troubled by what someone said that I need to replace the engine. As this person was trying to get me to sell the car to him, I because suspicious and did not trust what he said. Is it true that I would need to get an engine replacement or I still need to get a cylinder head replacement?
