2009 Serpentine Torque

#1
Hello,

I have a 2009 Corolla S. My serpentine belt squeaks when I start the car with the heater on and it's cold. I'm assuming the belt needs replacing or tightening. I was planning on replacing it. However, I was curious if anyone can provide or point me to a source that has the proper torque I should be tightening the belt tensioner to?

Thanks!

Typically, more modern cars have a spring loaded tensioner that doesnt require torque. You simply put a wrench on it, push against the spring, and remove/replace the belt. The spring has a pre set tension. Check me on this, but it may be the case for late model Toyotas.
