2010 Corolla LE TPMS light on

#1
Tried resetting the tpms via reset button under dash , no luck . Refilled air to 36PSI and drop many miles .
The light blinks for a minute and then stays on. Costco tells me that left front tire TPMS is broken but the replacement is pricy . I think they broke it as there replsced my 4 tires and the stem valve sets but they are not willing to agree .
Is there anything else I can do like resetting the battery contact?

Can the tpms sensor be replaced on my own ? I see that I may need a tool to configure it?

Thanks

Most people don't know it, but a TPMS has an embedded battery to power it. The service life is roughly 8-10 years. It's common for them to fail as cars age. The OEM part is expensive, but there are many aftermarket options in the $40 - 50 range. A special scan tool is required to set up a new sensor. You can purchase these on Amazon. My suggestion is to let the tire shops do it, since it's typically free with the TPMS purchase.
