acts likes key is in & turned to ACC when solar battery tender is plugged itno power socket

Have a 2015 Corolla LE, bought new, has 46,000 miles. As I'm going to be working from home for a while I got a couple solar battery tenders to put in the Corolla and our other car, 2015 Rav4 XLE.

In the Corolla when I plug in the connector to the power socket the radio screen, the clock and the shift indicator all come on, remove the plug and they go off. This is what happens when I put the car key in the ignition and turn it to ACC position. Tried the solar tender in the Rav 4 and it works fine, put the one from the Rav 4 into the Corolla and those 3 things power on.

So is the ingition switch at fault or does the Corolla have some weird wiring that doesn't allow these type of charger/tender to use the power socket? Cause it works fine connected direct to the battery using the cable with the clamps on it.
