Another headunit bootloop issue

I've replaced the SRS module on my 2014 Corolla and after plugging in the battery terminals my headunit is stuck in a bootloop. It worked before swapping the modules. There is a chance the headunit is not booting because the module is from a different car? Regardless I can get a used headunit from a junkyard for 100 bucks. My question is the headunit a direct swap? Not need to marry it into the car with techstream or anything? If that is the case ill just get a new used unit to install. Thanks
