Auto A/C

#1
hey guys got a question. my 2013 auto A/C will turn the recirculation on most of the time when I start the car. I think it might depend on outside temp but even when I have the system off it may do it. everything works and far from being a problem I'm just wondering why? I read the manual and it does not mention anything about it, only that when auto is on it will take care of itself (set it and forget it) again not a big issue per say I just switch it off but I am curious as to why it would do that?

I have the standard climate control system in my 2013 Corolla LE, not the auto.
However I'd assume it would automatically engage the recirculation because that makes it blow a little harder and a little cooler.

I assume it turns it off when it's cold enough correct?

Depending on outside temperature whether it comes on or not. Even with the system off the recirc button may be on. Like I said it does not really bother me that much I was more curious as to why
