Brake Pedal Fading

I have 2006 corolla, the brakes do engage but the pedal fades and slips down completely. The dealer and mechanic says there is nothing wrong, can somebody help with the issue?

That's a classic symptom of the brake master cylinder failing, which can lead to no brakes at all and a crash. Very dangerous. For anyone to tell you that the brake pedal is supposed to go all the way to the firewall, they are either lying to you, are incompetent buffoons, or both.

Could be air in the lines. Find a competent mechanic.

X2 on checking brake fluid and making sure there is no air in the lines. If you are at high miles and never had the brake system flushed, do that first. About $70 service at most brake specialty shops. They will also be able to tell you if the master cylinder is failing as Scott mentioned.
