I'd like to give a little background on this issue here.
Sometime in the summer time, my car stopped starting when it would rain, or if it was very humid outside.
I had a hunch, my alternator is on it's way out, I already knew this by the power drains I see (if I'm incorrect about that someone please let me know).
So one time I got the genius idea (out of frustration) to dry out my alternator and distributor cap by blowing on them with hot hair.
Well, the first 3-4 times I have done this it has worked. Today, it didn't work. So Something is keeping the spark from reaching my engine in wet weather. And I'm not sure what is causing this. But the blow dryer trick had seemed to work and it doesn't really make sense.
The car sounds like it wants to start, but it just doesn't want to turn over.
Do you think it was more my distributor/ distr. cap or the alternator? Has anyone seen this happen before?
Something else I recently thought of is that it could have something to do with my alarm system that I no longer use. Anyone have any insight on this? Let me know if you have any other questions to help...
