Carb and Fuel line Question

#1
Just bought a 77 Corolla for a daily driver/commuter. Fuel is leaking out of the inline fuel filter after driving it for a bit. Seems like it is still being pressurized even though the car is off. Filter looks to be relatively new.
Should there be enough pressure to cause it to leak after the car is turned off? Also it appears to be missing some hoses off of the bottom of the carb. I believe these are vacuum hoses that are missing and causing the car to idle high once at operating temp. Any suggestions on tracking down where the hoses should go?

Your help is appreciated

To start, plug any carb connection that is missing hoses, then figure out where they would go. Is there a corresponding missing hose to the distributor where a vacuum advance would go? There might be a vacuum diagram on a sticker under the hood.
Is the in-line fuel filter clear? If not then it's anyone's guess what's in there. Remove it and blow through to see if it is clogged. Replace it if necessary. Your fuel line is pressurized from the fuel pump to the carb. Replace any leaking lines. Just go to your local auto parts store and match the size of line and cut it to fit. Replace the hose clamps if necessary.
Warm the car up and adjust the idle down with the idle screw.
Identify your engine. It's likely a 2TC but could be a 3KC. While you're at it, identify your Corolla. It could be a TE37, TE31, TET51, or TE38. Your VIN will indicate which.
Get a manual, either Chilton's, Hayne's, or Toyota service manual. Any of these will have the vacuum diagram. Consider getting on the Rolla Club forum. It is more specific to older Corollas.
