Check Engine light on and VSC light blinking

#1
Today I went and started my car and noted that the check engine was on and the VSC light was blinking. I googled it and some of the replies mentioned the gas cap. I had filled up the prior day so I went and checked and sure enough, the gas cap wasn't tightened all the way. I removed it, reinstalled and then tightened till I heard the click. Now how do you reset the lights? Will they automatically reset after a few miles or to I need to manually reset it? If manually, how?

You need an OBD two code reader. You could probably borrow one from AutoZone for free, I think they let people borrow them to use in the parking lot. they’re also just 20 bucks and they are nice to have if you want to buy one. Either way read your code then choose to clear codes.
