CV Joint Removal

Hi. Does anybody know how the CV joint comes of off the drive shaft. I've looked for a circlip, can't find one. Tried hitting it with very large hammer (as per Utube videos) still no luck. I'm now at my wits end. Can Anyone help with this problem?

Maybe ask at the auto parts store that sold you the new axle-shaft?

Hi Scott.
Finally got it done. I took the whole shaft down to my local garage and asked them to take it off. It took the guy there 15minutes. He had to cut it off with a dic cutter. He went through a new disc doing it. He reckoned he had never had one so difficult to take off. Thaqnks for your interest.
