Differential Fill Bolt Size?

#1
Anyone know what size bolt the DIFFERENTIAL check/fill bolt is? I went up to the largest wrench i had and I want to be sure of the size before I head out to buy a bigger one.
This is for an automatic.

My manual was big too

On my 5-speed the fill bolt head was/is either 7/8" or 15/16". Although it's not an automatic I can easily find out for you if you want because I left the right sized socket in the truck. <g>

You can always measure carefully across the flats to get the bolt size. And then buy a six-point socket to make sure it will turn.

Why not just go to Pep Boys or Autozone and tell them you want to buy the right size socket and then try different sizes until you find the one that fits. Then buy it. They always seem very cool about stuff like that when I got there.
