Disabling Beeps Upon Unlock

As you know, pressing the unlock button on the electronic key causes the car to beep, which is inconsiderate, because it means that anyone within about 100 feet has to hear that. Is there any way to disable that? If not, I guess I will just have to use the regular key. Thanks.

Yeah you have to go to toyota service and request for them to turn it off for you. you can also have the seatbelt beep turned off. I heard it may cost money if not under warranty possibly... havent tried it myself per say

Actually there is a way. You can disable it by pressing any blinker button and then pressing the lock or unlock button. It only disables it temporarily. For everytime you want it to be silent you will have to repeat the procedure.
