Ok every one. My wife has a 2004 matrix. Recently her car showed a code of po511, prior to this he car had a very high idle like 2500 when cold. I replace IAC. Car idled perfectly about 1300 when cold and 750 warm and in neutral. After 60 miles her car sent code Po505. I reset code and it has not come back in but she has not driven anywhere. Just idle. I sprayed carb cleaner around throttle body while it runs listening for change in idle. All is Normal. I followed instructions on line. And unplugged IAC and started car. 511 came on. So shut car off and re-plunged in IAC. Cleared code. All is good right now but I think light will come back on. I am not really sure what to check next. It my wife is stating that her gas Milligan has gotten really bad since I changed part.
