Engine Not Cranking But Lights and Controls Work

hi all,

i am new to this site.

i recently got a toyota corolla station wagon 2006 model off a company auction.
however, when i turn the ignition key, all lights come on and controls work, but the engine does not crank/roll. i have changed the brain box, but that did not fix the problem.

kindly help with suggested solutions.

A little more information would be helpful. Does it make a clicking sound like it is trying to turn over? Have you ruled out a bad fuel pump?
